Patricia has been at the SED for almost 8 years, first in the Office of State Assessment, and currently as the Associate for Instructional Services in the Office of Curriculum and Instruction. Her career began as a middle school teacher in the City School District of Albany, where she taught social studies at both Hackett Middle School and Livingston Middle School. Patricia also served as an assistant principal at Bethlehem High School and Rensselaer Middle High School and has been a youth minister, an elementary teacher in a Catholic school, an orthodox Hebrew Day school and a rural school, a computer teacher in middle school, a summer school principal and a substitute teacher in every grade. Her passion is childrenundefinedshe has one daughter and was a foster parent to two special needs children. Patricia has served in a variety volunteer positions in schools, her community and her church that afforded her an opportunity to work with children and young adults.
