Reading Like a Historian: Teaching Literacy in Middle and High School Classrooms

This day-long conference will feature Sam Wineburg as he shares strategies to engage students as they learn how to "Read Like a Historian." The conference will take place on March 2, 2016 at the OnCenter in Syracuse.

This form is your registration. If your district requires you to use MLP for permission to attend, please remember to also create that workshop/conference request to attain your district's approval.

There is no cost for this conference and lunch will be provided. Dr. Wineburg's book, "Reading Like a Historian" will be available for purchase at the conference. Parking is free inside of the garage across from the OnCenter. You will be provided with a parking pass.

The conference is brought to you through a collaboration between SUNY Cortland, the BOCES School Library Systems of Cayuga-Onondaga, CiTi, Madison-Oneida, Onondaga-Cortland-Madison and Tompkins-Seneca-Tioga, as well as the Cayuga-Onondaga Teacher Center, Central New York Teaching Center and the Jamesville-DeWitt/Syracuse University Teaching Center.
