Haudenosaunee Wooden Stick Lacrosse Game and Festival

On September 27-28, 2014, the Skä·noñh – Great Law of Peace Center will host the 2nd annual Haudenosaunee Wooden Stick Lacrosse game and festival at Onondaga Lake Park.  Lacrosse, which is called Deyhontsigwa’ehs (They Bump Hips) by the Onondaga, is a game that has been played at Onondaga Lake for thousands of years.  It is part of the narrative of the formation of the Great Law of Peace.
